Members of the organized labour, including the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), have called an emergency meeting in response to the Federal Executive Council’s (FEC) postponement of discussions on the new minimum wage.
The meeting aims to solidify their position ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s consultations with the unions.
The FEC deferred the memo on the minimum wage, citing the need for broader consultations involving local governments, states, the federal government, the organized private sector, and labor unions.
