The Kano State Government has announced a substantial investment of N11 billion for the development of a 70-kilometer network of access roads across semi-urban areas within the state.
This development was shared by Governor Abba Yusuf during the launch of new road projects in the localities of Rijiyar Gwangwan and Mil Goma, situated in the Dawakin Kudu Local Government Area.
Governor Yusuf stated that the execution of these projects will be a collaborative effort with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Lives & Livelihood Fund (LLF), operating under the umbrella of the Kano State Agro-pastoral Development Project (KSADP) and the Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA).
The governor expressed his administration’s commitment to transforming the infrastructure landscape for the rural communities in Kano State.
He assured that the state government will closely supervise the project’s progress to ensure that it meets the established contract specifications.
Governor Yusuf also emphasized the critical role of community support in the successful realization of these projects.
He urged the residents of the host communities to work hand-in-hand with the contractors to facilitate the timely and successful completion of the road development projects, which promise to significantly enhance the quality of life in the rural areas of Kano State.
