The Israeli military has declared that schools throughout the country will resume on Monday. This decision comes after a temporary closure triggered by an extensive missile and drone assault from Iran over the past weekend.
On Saturday night, Iran initiated an attack deploying over 300 missiles and drones targeting Israeli lands. The military reports that the majority of these were successfully intercepted by Israel and its allied forces.
Although the assault has heightened concerns of a potential full-scale conflict between Israel and Iran, it fortunately did not result in any fatalities.
However, there were 12 reported injuries.
Following a comprehensive “situational assessment,” the military issued a statement early Monday confirming the reinstatement of educational operations across the nation.
The statement specified that schools in the vicinity of the northern border adjacent to Lebanon and areas close to the Gaza Strip will recommence educational activities, albeit under certain limitations.
Additionally, the military announced the removal of restrictions on large public gatherings in most regions.
The Iranian offensive on Saturday is believed to be a reprisal for a previous airstrike, generally attributed to Israel, which led to the destruction of an Iranian consular facility in Damascus and the death of seven members of the Revolutionary Guards, including two high-ranking officers.
