President Joe Biden has announced that American forces played a pivotal role in neutralizing “nearly all” of the drones and missiles launched by Iran towards Israel.
In a recent statement, he reiterated the United States’ unwavering support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Biden plans to gather the leaders of the G7 nations on Sunday to discuss a collective diplomatic stance in response to what he termed Iran’s “brazen” assault.
The President condemned the aerial offensive orchestrated by Iran and its affiliates from Yemen, Syria, and Iraq, targeting Israeli military installations. He expressed his denunciation of these actions in the strongest terms.
In anticipation of the threat, Biden had dispatched US military aircraft and missile defense systems to the Middle East.
He credited the successful interception of the aerial threats to the strategic deployment of US forces and the commendable expertise of American service members.
In his communication with Netanyahu, Biden reaffirmed the “ironclad commitment” of the United States to Israel’s security, commending Israel’s robust defense capabilities.
He assured that no American forces or assets were targeted in the Iranian attacks.
