Adeleke Reaffirms Commitment to Affordable Healthcare in Osun State. Emphasizing his administration’s dedication to delivering high-quality healthcare through a cost-effective insurance scheme, Governor Ademola Adeleke reiterated his commitment to the meaningful development of the state.
This statement came during the inauguration of the Osun Health Insurance Agency (OSHIA) board, held at the Exco Lounge of the Governor’s Office on Tuesday.
Represented by his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, Adeleke urged the newly appointed board members from various sectors of the state to uphold integrity and fulfill their responsibilities by building upon the achievements of the Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS).
“We have high expectations from each of you. While it’s a daunting task, I have full confidence in the caliber of individuals sworn in today.
Our administration is dedicated to delivering affordable healthcare through health insurance, and with your collective expertise, I am confident you will excel,” Adeleke stated.
He wished them success in their roles and anticipated improved performance.
Dr. Rasaq Akindele, the Executive Secretary of the Osun Health Insurance Agency, expressed gratitude to Adeleke for his commitment to ensuring access to quality healthcare, especially for the underprivileged.
Akindele highlighted the significant progress made under the current administration, which has garnered interest from seven other states, inspiring them to adopt similar strategies for enrolling pensioners in health insurance programs.
In his remarks, Dr. Adekunle Akindele, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Health, assured the public that the board would strive to elevate Osun’s healthcare system to stand out among its counterparts.
The newly inaugurated board members include: Dr. Muyiwa Oladimeji (Chairman), Dr. Rasaq Akindele (Secretary), Dr. Akeem Bello, Mr. Najeem Akintola, Dr. Abayomi Oni, Mrs. Yetunde Esan, Dr. Olufemi Ogundun, Dr. Olufemi Ala, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo, Mr. A.O. Oyawoye, Dr. Oluwole Fabiyi, Dr. Gbenga Adepoju, Mr. Stephen Aremu, and Mrs. Omolara Moshood.
