Federal agents from the United States Department of Homeland Security have initiated a probe into renowned hip-hop artist Sean “Diddy” Combs, conducting searches at his residences in both Los Angeles and Miami this Monday.
The investigation, spearheaded by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents based in New York, follows a lawsuit lodged in a federal court last November by an ex-partner of Combs, alleging his involvement in sex trafficking activities.
Combs, aged 54, has publicly declared his innocence, dismissing the allegations as attempts by his accusers to secure a financial settlement.
Media outlets in Los Angeles broadcasted live aerial footage depicting HSI agents alongside other law enforcement officials as they descended upon Combs’ opulent Holmby Hills estate.
Reports from the Los Angeles City News Service indicated that multiple individuals were apprehended outside the property, though it remains uncertain if any formal arrests were made.
Search operations were also carried out by federal officials at Combs’ property located in the vicinity of Miami.
