Asisat Oshoala made a memorable debut in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) by scoring the first-ever goal for Bay FC, leading them to a 1-0 win against Angel City FC.
The 29-year-old striker, who recently transferred from Barcelona Ladies, found the net just 17 minutes into the game, marking a successful start with her new team.
During her tenure with Barcelona, Oshoala had an impressive run, netting 85 goals in 101 league matches.
Her achievements include winning the UEFA Women’s Champions League title twice.
Oshoala, also the current African women’s Player of the Year, continues to make her mark in women’s soccer with this latest milestone.
