Michael Olayinka, the Nigerian singer known as Ruger, has openly expressed his desire to pursue a romantic relationship with DJ Cuppy.
Appearing on the Bahd and Boujee podcast hosted by Moet Abebe and Tolani Baj, Ruger discussed his aspirations for a committed relationship in a snippet from the upcoming episode.
The 24-year-old artist revealed his readiness to explore love, emphasizing his personal growth away from toxic behaviors. He also shared experiences of past encounters, expressing a preference for interracial relationships.
“I have never done an orgy though but I have done threesomes with white and black women, I like to mix the race,” he said.
“I want to see if I can actually be committed to someone, I want to see if I can try. I am not a toxic guy again.” Ruger stated.
When prompted about his interest in dating DJ Cuppy and whether she fits his ideal partner, Ruger enthusiastically responded, “Yes, I’d run with it.”
Ruger’s journey to fame commenced in 2021 when he signed with D’Prince’s Jonzing World Record, an imprint under Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.
In January, he established his own record label, ‘Blown Boy Entertainment.’
The singer has previously expressed his appreciation for the concept of relationships, valuing mutual companionship.
DJ Cuppy, daughter of Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola, made headlines in December 2022 when she announced her engagement to UK boxer Ryan Taylor after a brief 25-day courtship.
However, rumors of their separation surfaced in July 2023, with Cuppy later addressing the breakup and candidly discussing the challenges of being single and childless in her thirties.
