Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua has been elected as the new chairman of the Northern Senators Forum, following the resignation of Senator Abdul Ningi.
Ningi, who stepped down from his role on Tuesday, was subsequently suspended by the Senate for three months amid allegations of claiming that the 2024 Appropriation Act had been inflated by N3.7 trillion.
The announcement of Yar’Adua’s appointment was made official through a letter from the NSF to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, which was read during a plenary session.
