Elder Statesman and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Chief Chuks Muoma, has expressed deep concern over what he perceives as a lack of direction in Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
In an interview with Daily Sun, Muoma lamented the absence of clear-cut programs nine months into Tinubu’s administration, voicing skepticism about the president’s ability to salvage the nation.
According to Muoma, Nigeria currently lacks a sense of direction, which is troubling for those familiar with governance principles. He criticized the prevailing leadership style characterized by opportunism, where individuals vie for presidency without a genuine commitment to national progress.
Muoma highlighted the absence of capable leaders and lamented the prevalence of a rotational leadership mindset that prioritizes personal ambitions over the nation’s welfare.
He criticized the political landscape, describing it as a shameful spectacle where leadership positions are negotiated without regard for merit or competence.
In Muoma’s view, Nigeria’s political scene reflects poorly on the country’s reputation, despite its potential for success in other areas. He emphasized the urgent need for genuine leadership capable of steering the nation toward progress and prosperity.
