Tyla, South Africa’s celebrated Grammy-winning artist, has announced the postponement of her eagerly anticipated world tour, citing health issues stemming from a recent injury.
The singer, who soared to global prominence with her chart-topping track “Water” last year, expressed her profound disappointment following medical advice to halt her tour plans.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 22-year-old artist shared her ordeal of enduring an injury in silence over the past year, which has unfortunately escalated in severity, leading to this difficult decision.
“I’ve seen doctors and specialists with high hopes but the pain has only become more agonising as has the severity of the situation,” Tyla said on Instagram.
“Words cannot describe my frustration at this pivotal point in my career.
“So please know that my team and I are working diligently on a spectacular show for you as soon as I am recovered and ready to return safely onstage”, she wrote.
