The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the upcoming election in Edo State, Asue Ighodalo, dismissed concerns about the primary election held at the residence of Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu, labeling it as a minor occurrence.
He emphasized that he remains focused on his campaign and is undeterred by the Deputy Governor’s assertion as the party’s authentic candidate.During an interview on The Morning Show, an Arise Television program, Ighodalo expressed his commitment to contributing to the progress and prosperity of the state.
He stated, “I see a path for the State, I see a way by which I can contribute to moving the State into prosperity, and I am glad that I have come into this process, and I will give it my all.
“Addressing questions about the primary election held at the Deputy Governor’s residence, Ighodalo maintained his stance, stating, “I actually didn’t know anything else was happening in anybody’s house.”
