Afrobeats sensation Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has expressed his opinion that fellow artist Davido’s marriage does not serve as a positive model.
The statement came in response to a fan who encouraged Burna Boy to follow Davido’s lead and consider marriage.
When an X user with the handle @BadLieutenant encouraged Burna Boy to emulate Davido by settling down and starting a family, Burna Boy responded with a nonchalant attitude. He quipped, “Baba make I just dey as I dey abeg, u nor see wetin him dey face like dis?”
Another user, @RealDreylo, criticized Burna Boy’s response, calling it unreasonable. Burna Boy retorted, “Okay, but honestly, is he the better example?”
In a subsequent exchange, @SunOfOba suggested that Adekunle Gold might be a better role model. Burna Boy’s reply was succinct: “Ehen! Na wetin we dey pray for be that bros.”
It’s worth noting that Davido recently tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Chioma, in a lavish ceremony in Lagos .
