Vice President Kashim Shettima is in mourning following the death of his mother-in-law, Maryam Albishir, who passed away at the age of 69.
Albishir’s life came to a peaceful end in Kano on Sunday evening after battling a prolonged illness, as announced in a statement released Monday morning by the Vice President’s spokesperson, Mr. Stanley Nkwocha.
The announcement, entitled ‘VP Shettima’s Mother-In-Law Passes Away,’ shared that Hajiya Maryam, mother to the Vice President’s wife, Hajiya Nana Shettima, will be honored with a burial on Monday afternoon in Kano, adhering to Islamic funeral customs.
