Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has put forward nominations for caretaker chairmen across the state’s 23 local government areas.
The list was transmitted to the three-member Rivers State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Victor Jumbo. Amid a renewed political crisis due to former council chairmen refusing to vacate their offices after their tenure expired, the Assembly has invited the nominees for screening on Wednesday at 8:00 am.
