The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has officially accepted Finidi George’s resignation as the head coach of the Super Eagles.
Initially, the NFF hesitated due to an unsigned resignation letter, but the matter has now been resolved.
Finidi stepped down following the NFF’s decision to appoint a foreign technical adviser.
In his letter to NFF President Ibrahim Gusau, Finidi cited changes to the Super Eagles technical crew, which he had personally selected.
The NFF plans to hire a new coach before the 2025 AFCON qualifiers begin in September.
