Davis cornered Martin against the ropes and delivered a decisive left uppercut followed by a left hook, leading to Martin’s fall and marking his first professional defeat in 19 fights.
Davis celebrated his victory with a backflip in the ring, maintaining an undefeated record of 30-0, with 28 of those wins by knockout.
This fight was Davis’s return to the ring after defeating Ryan Garcia in April 2023, which was Garcia’s first professional loss.
Garcia attended the match against Martin and engaged with Davis post-fight, hinting at a desire for a rematch through a message displayed on his T-shirt.
