The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board has reported the passing of two members during their pilgrimage in Medina, Saudi Arabia.
In a recent announcement, the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, expressed the board’s sorrow over the incidents, acknowledging the divine wisdom and decree of Allah in such matters.
The board extended its heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for Allah’s solace and forgiveness for the souls of the departed.
Saliu Mohammed, part of the state’s Batch 3 delegation, succumbed to a short illness in the intensive care unit of a Medina hospital.
The second member, Hajia Hawawu Mohammed from Batch 9, tragically lost her life in an incident determined by Saudi officials to be a suicide, occurring at her Medina residence.
