Agboola Ajayi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) nominee for the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State, has chosen Festus Akingbaso as his vice-gubernatorial candidate.
Kennedy Peretei, the Publicity Secretary for the PDP in Ondo State, confirmed this new partnership to Channels Television on Sunday evening.
Festus Akingbaso, affectionately known as Fessy West, currently serves in the House of Representatives for the Idanre/Ifedore Constituency. His political experience includes a previous tenure in the Ondo State House of Assembly.
Originating from Idanre within the Idanre Local Government Area, Akingbaso is a native of the Ondo Central Senatorial District.
He steps into the deputy governorship role, succeeding Samuel Ogunmusi, who was initially filed with INEC as a temporary stand-in for the position.
