Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Mr. Peter Obi, visited the party’s national headquarters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) yesterday, joining a large gathering of party supporters.
During his visit, Obi endorsed the newly elected National Working Committee of the Labour Party, led by Barr Julius Abure.
He urged aggrieved members to prioritize the well-being of Nigerians and the nation’s future above all other concerns.
Obi emphasized his commitment to uniting all discontented members within the party. He highlighted the critical challenges facing Nigeria, including issues related to human capital development such as food security, education, health, and water.
“For now let us talk about how we are going to survive till then because we politicians always focus on the next election and not about human beings. That for me, when they survive to the next election, we can talk about the election.
“Let us focus on Nigeria, and see that Nigeria works, if Nigeria is working, the Labour party will work,” he said.
