President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, along with his aides, is set to return to Nigeria today from Europe, according to an announcement by the presidency.
Bayo Onanuga, the special adviser on information and strategy to the president, shared this update on Tuesday.
The President embarked on a two-leg foreign trip, starting with an official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
From there, he proceeded to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to attend the Special meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) from April 28 to 29, 2024.
During his time in the Netherlands, President Tinubu participated in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum.
The forum brought together leaders from conglomerates and organizations in both countries to explore collaboration opportunities, especially in agriculture and water management for sustainable farming practices.
Following his engagements in the Netherlands, the President joined the special WEF meeting in Riyadh. The focus of the forum was on Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development.
President Tinubu actively engaged in discussions and seized the opportunity to strike economic deals, including interactions with Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft.
While other government officials who accompanied the President have already returned to Nigeria, President Tinubu’s arrival is still awaited.
