Alhaji Sidi Ali, a respected journalist and ex-legislator from the Second Republic era, has passed away.
The distinguished elder and active member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) elders committee in Kano State, passed on Thursday.
The news of his passing was shared by Senator Shehu Sani, an ex-federal lawmaker, through a post on his official Facebook page that same evening.
Alhaji Sidi Ali was also known as the father of Hakama Sidi Ali, who was recently named the spokesperson for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Throughout his career, Ali contributed to various institutions including the Nigerian International Press Centre, the Ministry of Information, and the National Broadcasting Commission.
