The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed the screening process for its Ondo State governorship election candidates to Friday, April 12.
The rescheduling comes in response to the Federal Government’s announcement of a public holiday on Thursday, which coincides with the celebration of Eid el-Fitr.
The party communicated the change through its official social media page on Wednesday, instructing all governorship aspirants to be present for the screening at the APC national secretariat on the new date.
“Due to the inclusion of Thursday, April 11, as a public holiday by the Federal Government for ELd el-Fitr, all aspirants are requested to attend the screening on Friday, April 12, at the party’s national secretariat,” the party said.
Originally, the screening was set to take place before the primary election on April 20, with 16 aspirants expected to participate.
