A 21-year-old Moroccan woman, identified only as Asmaa, has been apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly setting fire to the house of her 41-year-old Chinese boyfriend, Xunxue, in Oregun, Ikeja on Saturday, March 30.
The authorities were notified after flames were spotted engulfing the residence, situated within an estate in the area.
Initial inquiries revealed that Asmaa and Xunxue had a heated argument, leading her to purportedly ignite the dwelling while her boyfriend and two others were inside.

During questioning, Asmaa claimed that Xunxue had brought her to Nigeria and confined her to his home for six months.
She asserted that he only sought to engage in intimate relations with her and denied her the opportunity to work.
Asmaa stated that she set the house ablaze out of desperation, expressing her frustration with Xunxue’s behavior.Fortunately, there were no casualties in the blaze. As of now, the suspect and other individuals involved are in police custody.
