In a recent statement, Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), reaffirmed his commitment to the party.
Addressing Nigerians on X Space, he categorically stated that he remains an LP member and will never engage in anti-party activities.
“I am still a member of the Labour Party and I don’t and will never do anti-party,” he said.
Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, also emphasized that he did not lose the 2023 presidential election. He credited the impact of his followers, known as Obidients, for their influence both in Nigeria and globally.
As he put it,
“We did not lose the election of 2023, we won, your (Obidients) impact was felt all over the world and you can’t take that for granted.
“It’s actually a stepping stone, hold your head high and celebrate. Together, a new Nigeria is possible,” he added.
