In a disturbing incident, suspected kidnappers raided a white garment church situated in Mowe township, within the Obafemi-Owode local government area of Ogun State. The assailants abducted two worshipers during the attack.
Omolola Odutola, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command, confirmed this unsettling event through a brief statement issued on Friday in Abeokuta, the state capital.
According to Odutola, the gunmen forcefully entered the Celestial Church, which is located near Oriyarin village in the Mowe-Ibafo axis.
They abducted two victims, Oladapo Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola, before escaping through a dense forest behind the church.
This incident highlights the urgent need for enhanced security measures to protect places of worship and ensure the safety of congregants.
