Minister Wike Expresses Gratitude to President Tinubu for Rural Development Initiatives. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, extended his heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for the opportunity to contribute to the administration’s mission of rejuvenating hope among Nigerians.
Wike conveyed his gratitude following his inspection of ongoing rural road projects in Bwari and Abuja Municipal Area Councils in Abuja on Thursday.
He also praised Tinubu for his unwavering support towards the FCT Administration’s efforts in providing essential infrastructure and top-notch services to the residents of the FCT.
Among the projects scrutinized were the 7.2-kilometre road connecting Gaba and Tokulo communities in Bwari Area Council and the five-kilometre access road linking Saburi 1 and 2 in Abuja Municipal Area Council.
These roads are integral parts of the 42-kilometer rural road network under construction across the six area councils of the FCT.
Wike emphasized that Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda isn’t solely focused on urban areas but also aims to ensure that rural communities experience the positive impacts of his administration.
He expressed his satisfaction with the progress made on these projects, affirming that they signify tangible improvements in the lives of the people.
Furthermore, Wike assured that all six projects across the area councils would be completed before the year’s end, despite being funded from the 2023 emergency supplementary budget.
Looking ahead, he disclosed plans to initiate new infrastructure projects in the area councils using the proposed N1.28 trillion FCT 2024 statutory budget, pending Tinubu’s assent.
Wike emphasized the practical realization of Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda, highlighting the tangible transformation evident in ongoing projects.
