President Bola Tinubu has granted a six-month extension to Samuel Atang, the newly appointed Head of Service for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), effective from March 27.

This decision, communicated through a circular by Chidi Amadi, Chief of Staff to the FCT Minister, aims to ensure continuity and stability in the ongoing efforts to revamp the FCT’s administrative framework, particularly following the establishment of the FCT Civil Service Commission.
Atang, who reached the retirement age of 60 on the same day, received this extension to facilitate the ongoing restructuring process.
