President Bola Tinubu has pledged housing and comprehensive educational scholarships, up to university level, for the families of the soldiers tragically killed in the Okuama community of Delta State.
This commitment was made during his address at the burial ceremony for the 17 fallen soldiers, held at the National Cemetery in Abuja.The announcement was shared via a social media post by Dada Olusegun, the special assistant to President Tinubu.
In the post, it was stated that the federal government, under President Tinubu’s directive, will ensure that each family of the fallen heroes receives housing anywhere they choose within the country.
Furthermore, the federal government has committed to providing full educational scholarships to the university level for the children of the deceased soldiers, including those yet unborn.
Additionally, there is an appeal to the Military Pensions Board to ensure that all owed emoluments are disbursed within 90 days to support the families during this difficult time.
