Vice President Kashim Shettima expressed confidence in the ongoing stabilization of the Naira in the upcoming weeks and months.
His reassurance came during the inauguration of the National Design and Innovation Competition at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The event, organized by the Interior Designers Association of Nigeria (IDAN), aimed to foster entrepreneurship and creativity among youth.In February, the Naira reached as high as N1,900 against the dollar, but through government monetary policies, it has gradually appreciated.
Presently, the official market sees the Naira at N1,396 to a dollar, while in the parallel market, it stands at N1,470.
Shettima affirmed the government’s commitment to implementing policies and programs to ensure the stability of the Naira.
Additionally, he assured that President Bola Tinubu’s administration would address concerns related to food, nutrition, and insecurity.
Acknowledging the pivotal role of youths in fostering creativity, Shettima emphasized the government’s continuous support for their aspirations.
