Disagreement Over Ondo State APC Campaign Billboards DestructionTensions are high as the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election in Ondo state approaches, with conflicting reports emerging regarding the destruction of campaign billboards.
The Wale Akinterinwa Campaign Organisation (WACO) accuses a loyalist of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of vandalizing billboards belonging to their campaign.
In response, the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation denies the allegations, labeling them as baseless and ridiculous.
The WACO points fingers at Aiyedatiwa supporters, alleging intolerance and unleashing of terror, urging the governor to rein in political thugs to maintain peace in the state.
However, the Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency refutes the claims against Governor Aiyedatiwa, stating that the advertising agent failed to remit payments for the billboards.
The WACO recalls a similar incident last month and calls for action, while urging APC leaders to intervene and prevent further damage to the party’s reputation.
In response, the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation dismisses the allegations as a ploy to undermine Governor Aiyedatiwa’s popularity ahead of the primary election, calling for apologies for tarnishing his name.
