Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, Makes Key Appointments
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has announced several significant appointments, including the appointment of his brother, Ferdinand Uzodinma, as Deputy Chief of Staff, CoS, General Services. Additionally, Cosmos Iwu has been reappointed as the Secretary to the State Government.
In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to the Governor, Oguwike Nwachukwu, it was revealed that Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie, the former Chief of Staff, has been reappointed, alongside Dr. Patrick Ekeji and Barr Olisaemeka Sydney, who have been reappointed as Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration, and Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, respectively.
Furthermore, Mr. Sam Anyalewechi Nwaobasi has been confirmed as Special Adviser to the Governor on Programme and Policy Implementation Monitoring.
Prior to his recent appointment, Ferdinand Uzodinma served as a councilor, Transition Committee Chairman, and Sole Administrator of Oru East Local Government Area in the State.
Oguwike emphasized that these appointments are effective immediately.
These appointments follow the confirmation of 12 commissioners by the House of Assembly two weeks ago. However, the Governor has yet to assign them portfolios.
Governor Uzodinma began his second term after being sworn in on January 14.
