Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has shed light on the reasons behind the exhumation and subsequent reburial of his mother.
The ‘Zazu’ singer took the step to move his mother’s remains to a different location following the sale of the land where she was originally interred.
In a video that gained traction on social media, Portable detailed the necessity of the action, citing the sale of the property as the impetus for the exhumation.
“Losing my mother at the age of 13 was a tragedy, and the need to transfer her to a new resting place arose when the initial burial site was sold,” he explained.
As a lasting homage to his mother, Portable also revealed plans to erect a mansion on the new burial site, turning it into a place of remembrance and honor.
