The Nigerian Air Force has successfully eliminated Kachallah Damina, the most notorious bandit leader in Zamfara State, along with a significant number of his fighters.
This decisive air raid was conducted after receiving intelligence about a large group of bandits planning an attack on Corner Village in Bungudu Local Government Area on March 10, 2024.
Damina, who had sustained injuries during clashes with troops from Operation Hadarin Dajia in Dansadau, was neutralized along with numerous bandits who were riding motorcycles.

Reliable sources informed Zagazola Makama that out of the 58 motorcycles carrying bandits and en route to their mission, only 11 fighters returned, many of whom were without their comrades.
“Over 50 bandits were neutralized, and numerous motorcycles were destroyed. This operation marks a significant blow to the bandit groups operating in the area,” the sources revealed.
“The armed forces continue their pursuit of prominent terrorist leaders, engaging them wherever they attempt to hide,” the sources added.Damina, a native of Kankara Local Government Area in Zamfara State, had terrorized communities across Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, and neighboring states.
Known for his brutality and involvement in heinous attacks and killings, he operated a large camp in the Magami forest, specifically in an area called Kango, under the command of Buhari Daji and Nagala.
