A youth forum in Borno State has made an appeal to President Tinubu, urging for the pardon and release of suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari.
The forum highlighted Kyari’s significant contributions to the fight against banditry and insurgency in northern Nigeria.
Despite his suspension following allegations in a fraud case involving Hushpuppi, the forum emphasized Kyari’s past efforts in combating criminal activities in the region.
Acknowledging Kyari’s achievements in maintaining security and restoring peace in Borno State and beyond, the forum expressed concern that his continued suspension could potentially undermine ongoing efforts to combat crime and protect communities from terrorist threats.
Additionally, the forum stressed the importance of recognizing and appreciating the sacrifices made by security personnel who risk their lives daily to safeguard the nation.
They raised concerns that Kyari’s suspension might negatively impact morale within the security forces, potentially hindering their effectiveness in addressing security challenges.
