Popular Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has revealed his intention to take a sabbatical next year, as he shared in a recent podcast interview with content creator Kamsi Nnamani.
Having been immersed in the industry for years, Egbuson expressed his need for a break, citing his hectic schedule and minimal sleep as factors prompting this decision.
He admitted to a demanding routine of constant filming, often managing just a few hours of sleep each day.
“I only rest when I go out at night. I only sleep five hours to six hours a day. And then keep the work going. But next year I’m going on a sabbatical. I have been acting for the past fourteen years consistently. There has never been a downtime or a time when I’m just chilling. And I did not say that with pride. I say that with all humility. It has just been God.” he said.
Reflecting on his career journey, Egbuson revealed that he initially ventured into acting by accompanying his sister, actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande, to film sets.
However, his involvement evolved from a protective role to a passion for the craft itself.
Looking ahead, Egbuson expressed gratitude for his consistent work over the past fourteen years but acknowledged the necessity of taking a hiatus for personal well-being.
