President Tinubu has retracted the nomination of Ruby Onwudiwe for the Central Bank of Nigeria’s board after key APC members objected due to Onwudiwe’s prior support for Peter Obi in the presidential election.
Senators Bamidele and Adeola, along with other APC stalwarts, questioned the suitability of Onwudiwe’s appointment.
Acknowledging these concerns, President Tinubu plans to nominate a new candidate from the South East to maintain party cohesion and uphold APC’s values
