President Tinubu Arrives in Niger State to Inaugurate Agricultural Projects and Airport Renaming. President Tinubu has arrived in Niger State to inaugurate a mechanized agricultural project and other initiatives.
Among the projects to be inaugurated are the renamed Minna International Airport, an agro-processing zone, and agricultural equipment.The Minna International Airport has been renamed Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna by the state governor, Umar Bago.
Initially inaugurated by former military Head of State Ibrahim Babangida on June 20, 1990, the airport has undergone remodeling by Bago to address previous issues, including a cut-off runway. It now boasts a fully furnished Domestic Terminal.
The agro-processing zone project spans about 2,000 hectares, with 1,000 hectares allocated for drip irrigation and greenhouses and another 1,000 hectares designated for processing dairy products.
