Imo State Government Denounces Alleged Second Batch of Commissioner Nominees.The Imo State government has refuted claims of submitting a list of seven commissioner nominees to the House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
Describing the purported “second batch” forwarded by Governor Hope Uzodimma as fake, the government clarified that no such list exists.In a statement released on Monday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike Nwachuku, it was emphasized that the office did not issue any press statement regarding the matter.
Nwachuku further denounced the dissemination of the fake list through social media channels, noting that his name was falsely attributed to a poorly written press release to give it an air of authenticity.
The statement reiterated Governor Uzodimma’s commitment to selecting individuals who align with his vision for Imo State.
It emphasized that the government will not succumb to the tactics of political opportunists who resort to blackmail to achieve their goals.
The Imo State government concluded by affirming its dedication to the process of selecting capable individuals to serve the state, emphasizing that there will be no deviation from this path.
