Nigerian comedian Samuel Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggi, has articulated his preference for privacy, especially regarding his personal life on social media platforms.
During an interview with actress Iyabo Ojo, Broda Shaggi expressed his inclination towards intimate weddings over grand ones, attributing this to the value he places on his privacy.
He also shared his views on love and family, emphasizing his desire to one day raise children and build a family, albeit not in the immediate future. He advocates for a thoughtful approach to marriage rather than hastiness.
“I am not a fan of big weddings. Even if I am going to get married, I am not a fan of big weddings,” he said.
“I do not know if you have noticed, I keep my personal life out of social media space. Because my personal life is very important to me and I just want to protect it.
“But I believe in love. I believe in one-man-one-woman type of love. I believe in family. I believe in raising my own kids.
“I am going to have my own family by God’s grace but not very soon. There is nothing like getting old. I do tell people, you do not need to rush into marriage.”
Broda Shaggi, a University of Lagos creative arts graduate, rose to fame through his engaging comedy skits on social media and has since expanded his career into the film and television industry.
