FCT Minister Nyesom Wike Lauds Progress on Capital Projects. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing projects in the nation’s capital, highlighting significant developments.
Among the ongoing projects are the provision of infrastructure in the Wuye District, the construction of the FCT Highway 105 (an 11km six-lane dual carriageway) connecting the Airport Expressway to Kuje, and the construction of the official residence of the Vice President.
Wike praised the speed and quality of work by contractors on these projects, expressing confidence in their commitment to completing the Wuye/Wuse flyover, currently at 85% completion, and the Vice President’s official residence by May.
He emphasized the transformative impact of the FCT Highway 105 upon completion, stating it would significantly enhance accessibility and development in the area.
Wike reassured that no ongoing project in the FCT would be abandoned, affirming that priority projects have been adequately funded in the FCT’s 2024 statutory budget.
Addressing concerns over the perceived delay in the road resurfacing project in the Asokoro District, Wike assured residents that the project would also be completed by May.
