Their hard-fought victory against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon propelled them forward.
In a tense encounter at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja, the Falcons emerged triumphant with a 1-0 win. This result, combined with the goalless draw in Cameroon last week, secured their passage to the next stage with a 1-0 aggregate scoreline.
Esther Okoronkwo etched her name into the match’s history by scoring the decisive goal in the 14th minute.
