Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde Joins Labor Protest, Promises End to Hardships On Tuesday, February 27, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State surprised many as he stepped out of his office to join labor unions and their affiliates in a peaceful protest.
Amidst cheers from the crowd, Makinde addressed the protesters at the Total Garden Junction in Oritamefa, Ibadan.
He acknowledged the prevailing hardships in the country and assured the crowd that solutions were in sight.
Makinde expressed his commitment to being part of the generation that brings about positive change, promising to relay the concerns of the workers to President Bola Tinubu.
He also mentioned correspondence with NLC national president, Comrade Joe Ajero, regarding wage awards for workers across the states.
