The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, facing terrorism charges from the Federal Government, has opted for new legal representation as his trial resumes at the Federal High Court in Abuja today.
Reports indicate that a fresh legal team, led by Alloy Ejimakor, will now spearhead Kanu’s defense against the 7-count charges.
While the reasons behind the switch from the previous legal team led by Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN and Ifeanyi Ejiofor remain undisclosed, the courtroom is already filled with lawyers and supporters of Kanu, showing solidarity with the Biafra agitation.
