Iseyin, Oyo State, Nigeria. The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has received a generous gift in the form of a new Sultan Guest House. This elegant residence, located in Iseyin, Oyo State, was generously donated by Alhaji Ahmed Raji, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Baba Adinni of Oke-Ogun.
The Sultan Guest House holds special significance. Whenever the Sultan of Sokoto visits any part of Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, or the broader South West region, this guest house will serve as his permanent abode. Once he departs, it will remain securely locked until his return.
Alhaji Raji, during a special dinner organized in honor of the Sultan on February 22, 2024, expressed his commitment to completing the ongoing construction of the guest house.
He eagerly awaits the Sultan’s presence to officially inaugurate this splendid establishment.
The dinner served as a symbol of unity, bridging the gap between the people of Iseyin and Oke-Ogun, the Ummah led by the Sultan, and other communities across Nigeria. Alhaji Raji urged the Sultan, who leads over 100 million Muslims in Nigeria, to hold Oke-Ogun dear to his heart and actively contribute to the growth and development of Iseyin and Oke Ogun.
In response, the Sultan graciously acknowledged the honor bestowed upon him. He emphasized the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood that unite us all, transcending religious and national boundaries. As brothers and sisters, we share a common faith and citizenship, and together, we shall continue to build a stronger Nigeria.
During his three-day visit to Oyo State, Sultan Abubakar had previously inaugurated the newly renovated Iseyin Central Mosque, a project funded by Alhaji Raji.
The event brought together local leaders, including the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Alhaji Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III, and the Okere of Saki, Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III.
Their heartfelt appreciation echoed the sentiments of countless Nigerians who hold the Sultan in high regard, especially within Oyo State and the South West region.
In this spirit of unity and shared purpose, the Sultan’s legacy continues to inspire love, respect, and unwavering commitment from all corners of the nation.
